Access San Francisco (2008)

In April 2002 Access San Francisco opened a 4,500 square foot centrally located facility where citizens and nonprofits were offered low-cost training in media and television, access to equipment and channel time, and state of the art facility resources.

I chatted with the then Executive Director Zane Blaney:

Any San Francisco resident or community organization was welcome to air a show on Access SF. They did not edit, preview, or take editorial control over the content.

Unfortunately since my visit in 2008 Access San Francisco has closed. In 2009 another public access initiative was launched by BAVC - SF Commons
